Report on Meraki


St Thomas College of Education organised an inter college fest from 24th February 2020 for two days and various competitions were organised on this occasion as per following details. Group Dance Competition was organised and the songs selected for dance were taken carefully and did not carry any obscene meaning, each team submitted a Pen Drive containing only the music that they wish to be played during the competition. NO other music was recorded on the /Pen drive. Criteria for Judgment was theme, Synchronization (within group and with music). Costume, use of props. QUIZ Competition was also organised- There was one visual round based on General Awareness. Each team got 30 seconds to answer. For preparation of Current Affairs, students were requested to go through the newspapers of last one month. The decision of judges were final and binding. RANGOLI competition was based on various themes Ø National Integration Ø Global Warming Ø Save Earth Ø Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Ø The duration of the competition was for 60 minutes/ 1 hour. Participants neeed to bring all the materials required for their Rangoli Ø Images from Mobile and other sources were not allowed. The decision of the Judges were final. EXTEMPORE was also organised. POSTER MAKING Themes were made on the different topics New face of India ,Secular INDIA Festive India Social Justice , Education for All , Gender Equality, Our Environment Responsibility of poster displayed for the participants. The decision of judges were final and binding. SOLO DANCE Competion was also organised. The song selected for dance was taken carefully and must not carry any obscene meaning. Criteria for judgment were Theme, Costume, Use of props, Expression. FASHION SHOW was also organised and Costumes for the fashion show were selected keeping in view the decorum of the institute. Criteria for judgment were Theme, Costume, Walk and Presentation Themes were Retro , Swadeshi The decision of the judges was final . SOLO SONG Competition was also organised.Time limit was (Not exceeding 5 minutes). In Light Vocal (Indian ) category only non-filmy songs/ geet/gazal/bhaja were presented . Participants brought instrument or instrumental music if they required.Students of different colleges participated in this event.
